Attorney
Adam Marquardt is an attorney representing investors nationwide in securities litigation claims for misconduct such as unsuitable investment recommendations, negligence, and fraud. Adam has a history of protecting investors and individuals. Prior to representing investors, Adam was a regulator at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA), the primary securities regulator of broker-dealers and over 630,000 brokers. At FINRA, Adam helped protect investors by ensuring broker-dealers and their registered representatives complied with federal securities laws and stock exchange and FINRA rules. Before joining FINRA, Adam represented individuals in civil litigation and the government in whistle blower litigation involving tax fraud.
Adam has been licensed as an attorney with the State of Illinois since 2011 and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), Chicago Bar Association (CBA), and Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA). He graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 2011 where he was named to the Dean’s List, earned a merit-based scholarship, participated in a moot court competition where he received the “Best Oralist” award, and earned a CALI award for obtaining the top grade in his Product Liability course.
Prior to law school, Adam passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and worked for several years as an accountant and financial auditor at a bank, Big Four CPA firm, and Fortune 500 company. He graduated from Marquette University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree and major in accounting.
In his free time, Adam enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, and other outdoors activities, and spending time with his wife and two young children in Chicago.
